My question is, what does it mean for a wizard to know a spell? Is it any spell in his spell book? Or any other spell he has prepared for that day? If its any spell in his spell book, what if he looses his spell book? |

The way I would rule it is to say that, as long as he hasn't used up the slot, he can still use the feat to cast any spell (of appropriate level) that was in the book, just like he can still cast the spells he prepared. But after that, he's pretty much screwed until he regains the book, or scribes a new one. |
