turtlemonkey 05-08-07, 01:25 PM	I was looking on the wizards site about the tips and tactics for vrocks. it mentioned using its greater teleport, and telekensis as spell like abilbites, but with its +20 concentration check it needs a 10 or 12 (in greater teleport) to use while trying to get away what is this check from? the best i can figure is casting defensivly which is 15+spell level which is only a DC 20 and 22 for teleport. What is it needing to do for a DC 30 and 32 check?

I think the numbers it would need to use its ability defensively would be 0 for teleport and 2 for greater teleport, since the DC is just 15 plus the level of the ability or 20 and 22 in this case. I'm also interested to know how a 9th level paladin gets a +19 to hit. Sure, it's possible, but what are the assumptions?
turtlemonkey 05-09-07, 01:37 AM	20+ spell level? no casting on defense is only 15 + spell level, or theres something different because its a spell like ability which as far as i knew doesnt matter. even if it was thats DC 25/27 check which means needs to roll a 5 or 7... still getting an extra 4 to the dc from something. as far as the +19, it assumed holy sword, so thats +5 right there, +9 BAB, so thats 14. as for as the other extra 5 to attack? i assume +4 from str, and weapon focus would be easiest...
