| irondog07-24-07, 12:13 PM | Looking for feats that help with critical hits, other than improved crit, any ideas? Thanks in advance |
| tarkin07-24-07, 12:44 PM | Are you a ranger? There are some ranger focused crit feats that work with your favored enemies |
| tui07-24-07, 12:55 PM | Here's a bunch of feats that are related to critical hits: Dragondoom Elf Hunter Favoured Critical Power Critical Resounding Blow Supernatural Blow Telling Blow Quell the Profane Cobalt Critical Cobalt Precision Death Master Eviscerator Ghost Attack Instinctive Consummator Staggering Critical You can find their sources by looking them up in the Consolidated Feat Index (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/feats). |
| rkun07-24-07, 12:56 PM | i think its called "power critical" (not exactly sure) it gives you a +4 to confirm critial hits. |
| JadeSpider964307-24-07, 12:58 PM | *Power Critical from Complete Warrior *Dragondoom from Draconomicon increases your multiplier aganist dragons only *Confound the Big Folk from races of the wild is a tactial feat, one of it's functions can increase your chance to confirm hits *Elfhunter from Underdark grants improved critical vs your favored elf subrace *Great Bite from Ebberon Campaign setting increases a Shifter's critical multiplier there are many other feats that DO neat/lame things AFTER you land a critical hit, but you asked about things that HELP with crits. and that's about all I'm aware of. could be more...I haven't been keeping up lately with the most recent materials. |
| Dheran07-24-07, 01:19 PM | There are also a few Epic feats that improve criticals: Devastating Critical (most recently updated in Draconomicon) Overwhelming Critical (most recently updated in Draconomicon) Death of Enemies (Epic Level Handbook) |
| Legdiwena07-24-07, 01:19 PM | Overwhelming Critical Devastating Critical |
| snakeman83007-24-07, 03:22 PM | Telling Blow has already been mentioned, but it is amazing for rogues. Adding SA to every crit? Combined with a keen rapier, that's a lot of extra damage. |
| Tiger_vs_Wolf07-24-07, 04:35 PM | Complete Scoundrel has a few feats that help score a successful critical hit. (Keep in mind that some of these feats have prerequisites and may require the use of more than one luck reroll) Victor's Luck allows you to reroll a critical threat confirmation Fortuitous Strike will let you reroll attack or damage Better Lucky than Good allows you to treat a natural 1 on an attack roll as a natural 20 instead. In addition the feat Unbelievable Luck while not directly related to improving critical hits is nice support for the 3 feats mentioned above. |
| The Phantom Flan Flinger07-25-07, 01:26 AM | I'm using Telling Blow and Power Critical combined with Victor's Luck, Unbelievable Luck and Better Lucky Than Good with my current character (Rogue with a couple of Fighter levels thrown in to get the pre-reqs/feats faster). I'm not convinced that the Luck rerolls are worth a three-feat sink. It is fun to be able to ignore a poor dice roll, and it suits my character's concept so it's fine for me, but you can't use more than one luck reroll to affect the same event. So the effect of all these feats is not that you cannot fail on the one attack which really matters, it's more that you are better over the course of a ten-round combat. And about Round 3 (or earlier, if the undead show up) is where I generally start to wish I hadn't put all my eggs into one basket! |
| irondog07-25-07, 10:13 AM | I'm running a warforged atrificier and listing an feats that improves crits would be great too. |
