Oliver D'Argent 11-14-07, 10:20 PM	If a skill is not on the class skill list of the class you have just entered, it is a cross-class skill with regard to how many points you must spend to buy a rank in the skill. As long as a skill is on at least one of your class skill lists, the maximum number of ranks you are allowed = character level + 3, rather than the (character level + 3)/2 limit that skills which are not on any of your skill lists are subject to.

Is umd considered a cross class or not? Yes, you can spend Swahsbuckler skill points on UMD at 2 points per rank and your max ranks are HD+3.
