hi there.

tha shield block maneuver gives an ally an AC-Bonus 4+Shields Bonus as an immediate Action.
Can i use the Maneuver without a shield? simply granting a bonus of +4 (e.g. using a weapon for blocking).

The maneuver doesn't give any reason why you couldn't, besides its name. 4 + 0 (shield bonus) = 4

Well, it says "equal to your shield's AC +4." It's obviously assuming that you have a shield. I don't think it should work without a shield.

However, I also wouldn't enforce that opinion if a Crusader player thought it should work without a shield. There aught to be a low-level counter that let's a Crusader leap in front of an ally to take the bullet for him/her. Shield Block would be that counter, if it didn't assume you have a shield. So I don't enforce the shield requirement.

I agree. I allow it in my campaigns. Just change the name to Devoted Block.
