After reading the description of the Daring Outlaw feat in Complete Scoundrel, a few questions arose about what would stack with the levels of swashbuckler.

1.) Would the ninja gain any benefit from taking this feat, since sudden strike is considered sneak attack for the qualification of feats?
2.) What about any PrC's, since many state that their SA ability is exactly the same as the rogues', that grant sneak attack damage? i.e. Nightsong Enforcer, Shadowbane Stalker & etc.

If this has been asked before or in another fashion (like the ascetic feats from CV), then I am sorry for wasting space.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't advance Ninja SS--though you could certainly enter it with Rogue 1 / Ninja 3 (or even 1?) / Swashbuckler 3, because it specifically states that it stacks the Swashbuckler levels atop the rogue levels. Same thing for PrCs--if it's not a rogue level, it can fill the prereqs, but doesn't advance the SA.

Yeah, if you somehow fill the prereq's without rogue levels, you can still advance the SA, those non-rogue level just won't stack for grace and dodge.

For example, if you were playing a Sneak Attack varient fighter 3/Swashbuckler 17, you would have the sneak attack of a 20th level rogue, and the Grace and Dodge abilities of a 17th level swashbuckler.

Technically, because Sudden Strike does count as sneak attack, the rules should allow for a Ninja 3/Swashbuckler 17 to have 20 levels of sudden strike progression, and 17 levels of dodge/grace progression. It should work that way, but I can forsee some DM's not allowing it.
