Do you have to have the metamagic feat your applying to Divine Meta Magic? Looking in the Complete Divine it looks like you don't but every build I see has with DDM-Persistant Spell has Persistant spell.

Can you DDM non-divine spells? Like my druid with domain variant? Or wizards with a cleric dip? Or better yet my druid/wizard arcane hierophant?

It has been errata'ed. You need the metamagic feat before you can select Divine metamagic and apply it to the feat you want.

And it can only be applied to divine spells.

Any divine spell?

Yes. For example, a cleric1/druid19 could apply divine metamagic to any of his druid spells.
