| Pirce04-13-07, 10:11 PM | Can someone post some good feats for a character who is focusing on, surprise surprise, fighting defensively. |
| jaelis04-13-07, 11:32 PM | Combat Expertise, Improved Combat Expertise, Two-Weapon Defense (plus the Improved and Greater versions), Active Shield Defense, Defensive Strike, Quick Staff, EWP (longstaff), EWP (broadblade short sword) |
| Pirce04-14-07, 01:01 AM | *edit* Never mind |
| Vengeblade04-14-07, 10:01 AM | Shield specialization and shield ward. |
| Pirce04-14-07, 05:20 PM | I don't plan on him using a shield so any ones that have to do with defensive stance would be nice. Sorry I forgot to mention that before. |
| SpoonyBard04-14-07, 07:04 PM | Improved trip and Combat Throw, or whatever it's called. |
| Blank_the_Bard04-14-07, 08:42 PM | I'm looking for exactly the same thing, actually. If you're using traits/flaws, the Cautious trait works well. Also a broadblade shortsword, as was mentioned above. At this point, we're level 9, so I'm into Thief-Acrobat, which gives the Agile Fighting class ability. Duelist is next on the agenda for elaborate parry. Finally, although I'm hoping that there's something better out there (the other two abilities offered by the feat aren't that great), the Einhander feat will give you +2 dodge to AC when fighting defensively with nothing in your off hand. Oh, and don't forget Deadly Defense to do an extra d6 damage when fighting defensively. If anyone else can come up with some good feats to increase fighting defensively bonuses, I'd be happy to hear them. |
| Pirce04-15-07, 02:50 PM | Deadly defense would work very well, are there any feats that improve holding a weapon with both hands, either defensively or offensively. All I can ever find are feats that improve duel wielding. |
