Currently I'm hopeful of playing a Crusader. The DM strongly dislikes the "feel" of ToB, but the character type and class makes some sense for his game, so he's considering it - actually reading though ToB - so I'm still plotting it out.

So I started reading the requirements for the Devoted Spirit tactical feat, read Devoted Bulwark, and had an interesting thought.

It says;
"If an enemy deals damage to you with a melee attack, you gain a +1 morale bonus to your AC until the end of your next turn"

My curiosity starts here - While those feats that do stack with themselves sometimes say it, the feats that do not have a cumulative benefit always say they don't stack... and this one doesn't say either.

Does this essentially mean that your AC goes up by 1 for each enemy that damages you, or is it always only a single +1?

I understand that it seems unlikely, but I then point you to "Pearl of Black Doubt" which gives you a +2 bonus that does accumulate for each missed attack.

So basically, I'm looking for confirmation, or general consensus.
I'm still shooting for the tactical feat one way or another, because I'm somewhat eager to try this tank type - primarily melee characters aren't really my typical cup of tea, let alone full-on tank types.

So, what do you think?

Morale bonuses do not stack with each other, since they have the same name (as is pretty much the case for any other named bonus). So you get hit 10 times, you get +1 morale AC 10 times, but all overlap with one another, rather than stack, for a net bonus of still +1 morale AC bonus.

Pearl of doubt is an exception as it grants a dodge bonus, which is allowed to stack with itself as a specific exception to the rules (the PHB states as much).

Ahhhhh... That's right.
Couldn't remember which bonuses actually did stack.

It's Dodge and Luck, right? I think those were the only two...

Thanks for that.

I think dodge is the only one which stacks with itself. Luck does not, IIRC.
