Devotion Feats! Nani? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-09-07, 12:47 PM Seriously, is anyone else goshing over this new series of feats?

I admit they are once per day if your a non cleric/paladin/dread necromancer or dont pick up a prestige class that offers turning/rebuking but, still WoW. This feats seem pretty impressive, epsecially the Earth Devotion feat. Actually when you pick certain ones and add them to a class like Ninja or Spell Thief I instantly think of Naruto like Ninjas. O_o I know it sounds silly, but feats that grant non spellcasters supernatural abilities/extraordinary abilities... The Trickery Devotion nearly made me pee myself XD.

I would take atleast three of these feats in combination to certain classes that I might play like if were a Swordsage or something I could definitely see myself (depending on my background.) snagging perhapes Trickery, Protection and Destruction... I mean all of them are good to be honest man i wish i still had a group. :)

Second, they're basically there to provide alternate uses for Turn Undead at high levels, because the ability rapidly tapers off in usefulness due to the way Turning and Undead operate. Turning operates off the undead's HD, not CR ... and undead typically have a lot of HD for their CR. At high levels, a CR 12 undead with 20 HD isn't unlikely ... so the cleric's turning probably won't do squat.

Sorry for offtopic. Uberchargers have some sort of love to other stuff, as well. Namely, to Domain Feats. Some of them are pretty neat, for sure.

Best thing, they are flavorfull and can add to any concept you can think of. Well.... To most concepts.

06-09-07, 02:35 PM I know, its a shame they had to wait so long for this concept, I especially like the Earth Devotion feat, by 10th lv you can added spike stones to the difficult terrain making ability it gives.
