There are approximately 2 week, I noted that any character with some ten in front of him could end up convincing everyone to become a his friend. I am explained: each time you try to make jets, you approximately have (without no-claims bonus) 1 chance out of twenty to succeed increased category of relation. If you to continue, you can end up convincing no matter whom. Does not have to you it not a rule which prevents from making of multiple jet of diplomacy. There is nothing at page 72 of the PG nor at page 128 of MG.

Scuse me for traductor, I talk french and this forum it's the best !

Thanks to every answer you gave to me. I come from second edition

Congratulations, this has been known for years on the Character Optimization forums, who have found ways of making this happen, to *absolutely everyone you meet* in a standard action, with no chance of failure, even if the person's already attacked you.

jets = tests

Yes, it seems multiple tests can be made and eventually everybody can become your friend. But, that friendship doesn't grant anything fantastic. A free coffee in the morning, investing advice over lunch, invitations to the Ball(dance). Small favors, but never anything risky or in conflict.
Ask yourself, "If a friend asked me to do that, would I?"

The problem is that Skill checks do not always succeed on a roll of a twenty-that's what you are mentioning, right?

Also, remember that each diplomacy check takes one minute and normally you aren't allowed to repeatedly try diplomacy *in one encounter*.

Where you found ( in rules) you are not allowed to try many time on one caracter?

It says:

Try Again

Optional, but not recommended because retries usually do not work. Even if the initial Diplomacy check succeeds, the other character can be persuaded only so far, and a retry may do more harm than good. If the initial check fails, the other character has probably become more firmly committed to his position, and a retry is futile.

which doesn't totally rule out retries, but it certainly does discourage them.

Also, like Terraneux pointed out, even if you allow retries, a natural 20 does not automatically succeed. So for instance, if you have less than a +10 bonus diplomacy, you will never make an indifferent character helpful, no matter how many times you try.
