I have two questions: first what kind of penalties would you put to disguise a raptorian as a human (I was thinking about disguising the wings as a feathered cloak since the wings are the biggest thing to disguise), and second what magic items would you suggest for upping my disguise skill ( I'm already thinking hat of disguise or mask of lies and I didn't know if there were any others). |

This penalty is supposed to cover everything from disguising a halfling as a human child, to disguising a thri-kreen as elven maiden. That's ludicrous. I'd expand the "different race" penalty from -2 to -4 for the difficulty of hiding those feathers. That's still beaten out by the bonus from attempting "minor details only," so just throwing on a hooded big cloak, wearing boots, and maybe putting some skin-coloured clay on your face would leave you with a net +1 bonus to disguise. |
