I ask because the option states: "Replaces: You do not gain the ability to turn or rebuke undead." Feats like Divine Vigor say: "Prerequisites: Turn or rebuke undead ability." Taken literally, a cleric with Divine Counterspell no longer has the turn or rebuke undead ability, and would not qualify. But I think they should still qualify, because a cleric with Divine Counterspell just does something different with this divine energy. Thoughts? Already addressed a million times? thanks! |

If so, then no, they would not qualify for any feat with the prerequisite of "Turn or Rebuke Undead" or "Turn Undead". A druid uses divine energy also, but cannot use divine feats for the same reason. Regardless, someone who does not meet the prerequisites for a feat, whatever it may be, cannot use the feat. This applies even if you met the prerequisites when you took the feat but later fail to meet them (for instance, if you took Power attack, then got hit with an ability drain that reduces your strength below 13, you can no longer use Power Attack or any feat it is a prerequisite for). Therefore, if for some reason you can no longer turn or rebuke undead, you cannot use divine feats that have that as a prerequisite. |
