| Panaca02-04-08, 12:31 PM | Whats the best combination to make with divine metamagic, i mean what metamagic feat is the best to be used with divine metamagic with a cleric? |
| dman1123502-04-08, 12:31 PM | Either Quicken or Persist. |
| Panaca02-04-08, 12:49 PM | And, for example , if you are level 6 and you are a human, would you focus only into the DMM quicken thing or would you choose other feats like Augment Healing or Divine Spell Power. Divine Metamagic+ Quicken extra turning(2x) ? |
| dman1123502-04-08, 02:00 PM | What? What I would do is take extend (human), persist (6), extra turning (1 or 3), augment healing (3 or 1), DMM persist (9). If you can take flaws you can get the feats down a slot by putting augment healing in the flaw slot and persist at 3. At level 7 take RSoP for the healing boosts and extra greater turning (since they are still turn undead, they work for DMM!) All of your other feats are up to you, but Touch of Healing would be great. Buy lots of night sticks as well, so you can persist more spells. Now you can persist a bunch of self buffs and party buffs, so that your actions can be better spent in melee slaughtering the opponents, or healing the party to full. |
| Lyndis02-05-08, 01:25 AM | I like DMM: Reach. Great for healing spells. |
| dman1123502-05-08, 01:40 AM | Great if you're in a pinch, otherwise those turn attempts could be put to better use. I forgot Sacred Healing, btw: grant fast healing for a number of rounds by spending turn attempts. |
| Eldritch_Lord02-05-08, 01:48 AM | Yeah, Persist is the biggie. DMM: Persisted divine power is what makes the cleric beat melee classes at their own game. |
| dman1123502-05-08, 11:16 AM | And Dvine favor puts them over the top. Righteous might helps, but it can be a liability to be a size larger all day long. |
| Dheran02-05-08, 06:02 PM | Divine Metamagic applied to Persistent Spell is the most effective combination for the cost of three metamagic feats. For that you "save" the most metamagic class levels boosted (4) for whatever spell you choose, with the longest benefit (24-hour duration). If you persist a spell that only lasts one round you'll also get the biggest multplier for that effect. Multiclass choice favorites along this line include Grave Strike and Wraithstrike. These are the limburger options. Personally I like to use DMM with Maximize Spell. This makes the cost only two metamagic feats. You're also only "saving" 3 class levels boosted with each spell, but that also means you might be able to spend your turn attempts across several spells daily. If you like blasting things, DMM and Maximize is a very satisfying combination. And nobody is likely to complain about smelling cheese around your character. |
| Jay_Ibero_91102-05-08, 06:56 PM | A human cleric with the undeath and planning domains can have DMM Persistant at level 1 with turn attempts to spare. Take Extra Turning again at 3rd level and you are able to persist 2 spells per day... |
