My DM says that the feat Divine Metamagic cannot be used for druid spells even if you have turn attempts. Right now my character is a 1st level cleric of Wee Jas (w/ Planning & Trickery domains), 4th level fighter, and 7th level chameleon (Combat Focus & Divine Focus). I plan on persisting Bite of the Weretiger (7 turn attempts) which is a 5th level druid spell in the Spell Compedium. Does anyone think this won't work?

to be honest I think by the letter of the rules you are correct but by the spirit of the rules your DM is correct. So I am no help what so ever.

Well if your DM rules that, they do get the final say.

However, the rules don't say it needs to be a cleric spell, just a divine spell, so if your DM is misunderstanding the rules, that could help.

Keep in mind that many DM's aren't comfortable with DMM-persistant, so it's very likely that it's a decision you won't be able to get overturned. You can still get persistant metamagic though - you'll just have to have it count as a spell of a much higher level.

yea the feat is prety vague, because I was thinking about using DMM on a Dracolich to expend his rebuke attempts to modifer his sorcerer spells. SO I would say until the feat is modified I say it would work on druid spells, or any spells none the less.

EDIT
Nevermind I just read the errata, I'm a dummy. But it does say divine spells so I would efinatly say druid spells can be mod with DMM

It's true that many DMs aren't comfortable with DMM-Persistent, and perhaps rightly so. It can be quite a powerful tool.

But the DM is allowing the feat, so they should allow it to work with Druid/Clerics. There's no "realistic" IG reason to keep a Druid/Cleric from doing such a thing, so why change the rules to exclude it?

It should work as long as the spell is divine and you have enough turn undead attempts to use.

You can persist any spell if you were a wizard you could persist any Arcane Spell (or if you use the arcane focus) your DM is just trying to screw you.

If you are trying to claim that you can use Divine Metamagic to persist an arcane spell, that is simply wrong. The feat limits its use to divine spells, because the feat has been officially changed to say so; even though Complete Divine does not contain the text, the feat does.
