My opinion: This is a very powerful feat. (overpowered) 1. It can be taken at 1st level 2. It has no prerequisites. 3. It can add upto 4 to your caster level (from 1st level) 4. In the right build it will be a guaranteed 0-4 caster level boost by 2nd level (18 WIS, Knowledge(Religion) Synergy, it's own feat bonus) 5. It has a relatively low cost to use, 1 turn undead check 6. It stacks with spell penetration and gtr spell penetration 7. In one feat it can sometimes equal the effect of both spell penetration feats 8. It is powerful at both low and high levels 9. I doubt any sane cleric would ever not take it |

The averaged +2 caster level has not been game breaking, and I rip through the turn attempts quite fast. (My DM does not allow Nightsticks, which are the source of much of the imbalance for Divine Metamagic and Divine Spell Power). I imagine at higher levels, the combination of spell penetration and Divine Spell Power would be quite powerful, however, as by that time the cleric would almost always recieve +2-4 (increases to CHA). |
