If clerics and druids had a Spellcraft skill all to themselves, what might it be called? Prayercraft? Theocraft? Godcraft? Any ideas? I need a cool name!

If you're going to split the skill up like that, why not just roll it into the appropriate Knowledge (Arcana, Nature, Religion) skills?

Faithcraft?

Why not roll it into Knowledge?

Because it's different from book learning. And because psionics splits it up.

I've called mine Hymncraft, on the rare occasions I DM and opt to split the skills and allow divine magic. Divine magic (on the odd times I allow it) has a strong verbal component in my games, to the point where I don't call them spells so much as "hymns", "litanies", and "miracles" (in fact, just as common folk can tell "he's casting a spell" in Greyhawk, in my games they can even tell the difference between arcane and divine casting by the components. They're as different from each other as a verbal component is from a psionic auditory display.)

Or just break it up like the relevant knowledge skills Arcane Spellcraft, Divine Spellcraft, Tree-hugger Spellcraft.

Why keep the -craft on the end? Why not just Prayer instead of Prayercraft? Or dogma or theology or something.

Well I'm not just splitting the skill. I'm devising a new system where spellcasting is skill reliant. Wizards use Magecraft and so priests use...? Also, any ideas how ranks can be earned in these skills without negatively impacting other skills?
