Dodge feat as a prerequisite [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-17-08, 07:10 AM OK, I overlooked Whirlwind Attack and Shot on the Run from the PHB. I don't use the XPH.

Anything from other WotC books ??

03-17-08, 12:35 PM Karmic Strike from CW I believe requires Dodge. Not sure whether Robilar's Gambit requires it as well (PHB II) but considering its pretty similar to Karmic Strike, I wouldn't be surprised Dodge is a pre-req.

Midnight Dodge (from Magic of the Incarnum) counts as dodge for any feats, prestige classes, or speical abilities that require dodge. If MotI is allowed in the game, I'd go with it. You can gain up to +4 dodge AC depending on you essentia invested, rather than just +1 with regular Dodge

I like Midnight dodge, but for another reason. Apart from counting as prereq for dodge it gives +1 essentia you can use for other purposes :D It can also be left empty, and filled to the brim by that feat that expends your psionic focus. Very useful for, say, elocaters.

03-21-08, 04:09 AM On a side note, Desert Wind Dodge from the Tome of Battle can be used to substitute for or replace the normal Dodge feat as a prereq. for most purposes.
