Does the feat Born of the Three Thunders work when casting a spell from a staff?

Has this ever been addressed anywhere? Ty for any replies!

no, you can not use meta magic feats through a staff, but i believe there is a feat that lets you at +1 charge per level of meta magic adjustment (minimum1)

But the issue with Born of Three Thunders, is that it's not prepared as a metamagic spell. It states that you have the option of including the BoTT effect when you're casting it. So you could argue that it's not a really metamagic feat, but a feat that gives you can extra option while casting, and that counts as a metamagic feat for prerequisites and stuff.

it still says metamagic feat... and you cant use metamagic feats on a staff...

so your saying that sudden metamagic feats work on staffs, because they don't work like normal metamagic feats? you declare those as you cast the spell too

and you can apply metamagic rods to a staff because they don't work like standard metamagic feat? i mean you declare those as you cast the spell too

and since were using semantics and logic twisting, it specifically says when you cast a spell, not activating a spell like affect from an item, or activating a magical item with said descriptors

and since your next argument may be about how using a staff is like you casting it, no its still just activating the item using your relevant ability score and caster level and what not. and casting level, no where does it actually say its as if if your casting the spell
