It doesn’t mention it in the description, so I assume not, but the Undead Leadership Feat in Libris Mortis does, so I was curious.

I would assume draconic followers would the same as other types of followers, just take into account the LA

if it's +1 (iirc) and your pool of followers is lvl2, then they'd lvl 1 draconic followers

another way:

you could get 10 lvl 2 human warriors

or you could get 10 lvl 1 draconic human warriors

Your followers are based on ECL. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be LA 0 or 1 races with NPC classes, but that makes for a really boring army. Besides, what if more powerful creatures get followers? So with a somewhat flexible DM you could have, for example, a Wyrmling Gold Dragon instead of an 11th level follower. (7HD + 4LA)

No Dragon Cohort simply gives you a cohort. It is not a leadership feat.

Well, it TECHNICALLY is a leadership feat in that it modifies your cohort, which is part of Leadership. But yeah, it does exactly what it says it does. It doesn't 'also give you dragon followers but forgot to mention it'. Heh. Sorry.

I can't see that the OP's question was answered. Can you attract a cohort with the dragontype or dragonblood subtype that's not on the list on page 139 of the Draconomicon?

The draconic leadership feat only lets you attract a cohort. It does not give you followers though. I can't imagine a horde of wyrmling dragons following you around or something.

Oh, I was thinking Kobolds, personally. :D

You wouldn't need Dragon Cohort for attracting Kobolds. Regular Leadership is just fine for that. At least it is for me. I'm running a campaign and I allowed the regular leadership fellow to attract kobolds. It helps that he's a draconic human in my eyes.

It may not let you, but I don't see it being that unreasonable a thing to let it do, if there's enough dragons to go around...

You can actually have dragon cohorts/followers without having the Draconic Cohort feat (DMG199)... the thing about the feat, you get a free Dragon Cohort (whether you have Leadership or not) and it doesn't count for, against, or with Leadership for the sake of followers.
