Is it possible to Great Cleave after a 5 ft step? I'm familiar that the FAQ and the PHB says you can't take a 5 foot step for Cleave but I was told in a game that there was an errata posted that allows this for a Great Cleave. Can anybody help me out and point me to a reference? Thanks!

I've never seen any such errata. As far as I know, Great Cleave works exactly like Cleave, except that you can do it more than once.

Only Supreme Cleave feat can do it. But i am not sure if it's feat in general. Maybe it's just an ability of some prestige classes.

Great Cleave does not allow a 5ft step.

I believe there is a feat that allows a 5ft step with a Cleave in the Complete Warrior, but I can't remember its name (Improved Great Cleave? Cleave-on-the-Run? Love 'em and Cleave 'em? I'm Cleavin' on a Jet Plane?).

edit: Ninja'd! Supreme Cleave...duh! Like a regular cleave, but with sour cream!

The Frenzied Berserker (CW page 34) has the class feature of supreme cleave that allows the 5' step.

As others stated, it is a prestige class ability and therefore too powerfull to make a feat.

P.S. If y'all like Country Music, you might remember a 'Lesson in Cleavin' taught by Jo Dee Messina.

With all those feats and others out there, there must be fifty ways to Cleave your lover.

No, but I thought I'd be polite and ask.

Thank you. Your politeness is noted and appreciated.

Of course, there was the song I learned to play on the mandolin: Greencleaves.
