| Peregrine_Wolf05-15-07, 04:31 PM | Is there a feat that allows your character to be considered one size category smaller/larger? Say, I wanted to play a halfling, but I don't like being small. Is there a feat that makes the halfling a medium sized creature? What if I wanted to play an Elf, but want to be small? is there a feat that does that? Just wondering because there are a few builds I was thinking of that would need these sorta size changes to work..... |

There are racial abilities that PARTIALLY do it (Powerfull Build)- i.e. generally by giving you everything except the reach. But those are too strong for a feat (and does not stack with Monkey Grip). They are basically improved versions of Monkey Grip. --------- The reverse, counting as smaller, might be legal, at least if you restricted it to from medium to small (minimal gains). Still, smaller is huge benefits for hiding/to hit/AC. It is not that hard to create a build that does not suffer much from the disadvantages (Disarm/Sunder/Trip/reach/weapon damage). A wizard type has big benefits. I would expect: Strict game: Not allowed Loose Game: let you move from Medium sized to Small sized for a feat, but that's it. Power Game: From Small to Medium for a feat, or any size reduction of one size. Anything Goes: Any +1 size or -1 size as a feat. |

| Daeva05-15-07, 07:37 PM | in the dragon lance setting theres a feat that lets borderline large races be considerd large for everyhting except weapon range, ac penalty, and to hit bonus and hide penalty, im sure you cna convince your gm to let you take it as most non small races, unless your jsut after easy to get reach. If i GMd sucha feat i would not let the reach stack with size increase btw. |

Ya that's probably the best bet right there, and it shouldn't be hard to do, just takes some gold and a spellcaster who knows the spells. I'd say the DM would have to be UNCOOL not to allow it, as those spells are on the perma list.... I'm running around with a halfling sized elf right now, it's pretty cool. |

| Peregrine_Wolf05-16-07, 01:11 PM | Ah.....halfling sized elf is what I was going for.....permanency....I'll try it. thnx all. |
| Nat_2005-16-07, 01:18 PM | Do Enlarge/Shrink Person, and have someone cast permanacy on it if the DM's willing to be cool like that, lol... Ha ha ha.. ohh the horror... Hers a tip, don't let the party's dragon-kin with levels in war hulk using two full-blades(over sized bastard swords for you technical geeks) be enlarged and permanency'ed... Huge damage potential... But a poor will save... Dominate monster anyone? *Evil grin* |
