| sticks12807-11-07, 05:22 PM | To me it seems like only Clerics (or a class with access to Domain spells) should be able to take Domain feats, but in Complete Champion we cannot find anything that says that. Can any character truly take Domain feats, or is there something we are missing? Thanks in advance. |
| Demoyn07-11-07, 05:23 PM | There are prestige classes that grant domains which don't require cleric levels to break into. Thus, domains aren't just limited to clerics. |
| tarkin07-11-07, 05:25 PM | Also note, you are calling something "Domain Feats", but I do not believe that is a real D20 term. Clerics and certain other classes/prestige classes get Domains. Each Domains come with a special ability and a list of spells that can be used once per spell level. |
| Trannic07-11-07, 06:05 PM | Page 52 in complete champion explains the general use of domain feats. To paraphrase a little, any non cleric character can take domain feats as long as, A: you never have more than two (unless the DM gives permission) different ones (though you can take the same one several times to get more times/day)B: they generally should be linked to whatever god you worship, or thematically linked if you don't worship a particular god C:clerics can have more than two domain feats, but only if they sacrifice access to one of their domains picked. They are also not restricted to domain feats that are the same as their domains, but can pick any of the feats that are linked to their god. I hope that helps, and Tarkin, domain feat is an actual term. |
| tarkin07-13-07, 05:18 PM | I apologize, I was wrong. I thought you were talking about Domains, not Domain feats (I have not played with Complete Champion yet). As far as I can tell, Trannic gave you the correct information. |
