| RobbyPants04-09-07, 11:54 AM | I guess I'd have to read it again; I can't remember if it's a full-round action (similar to Rapid Shot), or a standard action, or if it's applied to "one attack." As for shooting arrows out of the air with a gun, I'd say it's pretty much impossible, unless the DM worked in something odd with Deflect Arrows. An arrow would move way too fast for you to be able to see it, let alone react to it, aim at it, and shoot it. |

| Nadaka04-09-07, 10:43 PM | If you are refering to the d20 modern double tap, it is an attack and not an attack action (D&D calls these standard actions). Therefore yes you can use it multiple times per round or even mix it with normal attacks in a full attack action, and note that the penalty to hit only applies on attacks where you do the double taps, and not on any other attacks made that round. Though I think that you might have difficulty find a semi-automatic firearm in D&D. And as for shooting bullets and arrows out of the air? :uh-huh: No, you can not do that in d20 modern. |
| GreyEagle04-10-07, 12:46 PM | hahaha, thanks for the clarification. Btw, the shooting arrows out of the air idea came from The Dark Tower Series. It was going to be for a prestige class, as a capstone ability, but I decided not to make the class. |
| sigma99904-10-07, 06:55 PM | There are sources with shuriken knocked out of the air, as well as damage spells countering each other. Those same sources are anime so I won't mention specific names but see if you can find them... Also, why not include guns in D&D? Double Tap would be just as good for some characters as the archery feats are for elves. Revolvers... dwarf or gnome style :D |

Revolvers... dwarf or gnome style :D You could include guns in D&D but the revolver (which would allow double tap as any semiautomatic firearms) haven't been introduced in the medieval or renaissance periods. And revolver needs the percussion cap technology. |
| GreyEagle04-10-07, 11:09 PM | How you aquire the technology is pointless. The fact is I'm using it. If I wanted to know how to get it, this would be a different thread now, correct? Anyhow, I got my answer. Thread done. |
