Hello.

I am having trouble understanding the rules to create magical weapons. First of all, a magic weapong has to be a masterwork; well my DM says that for me to creat a WarHammer +2 first I have to use the rule of the skill Craft (Weaponsmith) to make a WarHammer Masterwork, then use the rules of the Feat "Creat Magic Weapons and Armor".

It will take about 2 weekes to make the WarHammer Masterwork... then 3 days making +2?.

Is this right?

--------------------------------------------------------
Can someone post a detailed example of all the materials and checks you have to make for the crafting of the weapon Warhammer (+2 or +3) and the time it will take to crat.

Thansk fot taking the time to read this post :P

Nope you can just buy a masterwork warhammer. No sane mage would forge one, unless he was already very, very, crazy good at crafting weapons for some other totally unrelated reason.

So buy the MW warhammer for 300gp + normal price. Pay 8000 / 2 = 4000gp and spend 4 days making it +2. Total cost: 430X gp. Total time spent: 4 8 hour days plus however long you need to find a masterwork warhammer in a shop. Requirements: the craft feat, caster level 6 (+2 * 3 = 6). No checks are necessary. A +3 weapon would cost 18000 / 2 = 9000gp plus 30Xgp.
+4: 32000 => 16000
+5: 50000 => 25000

You can also replace each +1 (except the first +1) with an enchantment as long as you meet the requirements. So, if you have the right spells, you can make it flaming, holy, bane, etc., etc. So a +1 holy warhammer costs the same as a +3 warhammer, since the rules say holy is equal to +2. You cannot make a +0 holy warhammer, since all magic weapons must be at least +1. You also need to be a cleric who can cast holy smite to make a weapon holy. Other effects have other requirements.

Bilkhir: Just to be clear, also, you can't "make a warhammer masterwork."

That is to say, you can't just take any old regular warhammer and turn it into a masterwork weapon. A masterwork weapon is created from scratch... At best, you (or whomever is making it) could perhaps use some of the materials from an old warhammer as raw materials for the new masterwork warhammer.

So.. you CAN make a masterwork warhammer... but you CAN'T make a warhammer masterwork... if you follow.

+5: 50000 => 25000A mistake here.

The time taken to create an item is 1 day per 1,000gp in the base price, not 1 day per 1,000gp to create. A +2 weapon takes eight days, not 4.

All cost and time calculations run off the base price, not the cost to create.

Hi

Well I think thas a problem for me...I will become a BattleSmith from the book "Races of Stone". And for me to use the special abilitys, I have to make my own weapons and armors from 0.

......T.T!

Thansk for the comments.

Then the rules are:

1.- Creat you own Masterwork Dwarven WarHammer with the skill Craft (2 months making it or more....T.T).
2.- Use that weapon to craft a +2 Dwarven WarHammer with the Feat Creat Magic Weapons and Armors.

"But I wanted to creat magic weapons because it will be cool"...T.T

Ask the DM if you can have some "time off" after your current adventure so your character can construct the Mwk. Warhammer.
