I have one little question: Can Dragonfire Adepts use Metabreath Feats to modify their breath weapon? I ask this because they don't have to wait any rounds between each use of this weapon. I'm confused.

You just answered your own question.

To take a metabreath feat, a creature must have a breath weapon whose time between breaths is expressed in rounds.

The metabreath feat entry states that the creature "must have a breath weapon whose time between breaths is expressed in rounds". The DFA says that its breath weapon is "usable at will", which does not fulfill that criteria. You could make that case under RAW if the wording of the breath weapon was different (ie. worded as "usable every round"), but as it stands By RAW = no metabreath feats for DFA.

Feel free to houserule that way in your own campaign Darth Sephiroth, of course. From experience using them as a DM I'm of the opinion that they're even too powerful when used for dragons. Metabreath feats = very powerful, possibly broken.

A Dragon Shaman can use metabreath feats though.

Could it not be argued that the secondary breath's are usable every other round? So you may not be able to use the main fire breath with the meta's but you could use the others?
