I was looking at ways to make my divine caster a little more combat oriented or at least durable, and I saw the Dragontouched feat from Dragon Magic. The feat, among giving the dragonblood subtype and a few other small bonuses, allows the character to "select draconic feats as if you were a sorcerer of your character level."

Now, Dragonic Heritage doesn't state either way about what kind of spellcasting ability you have, it just gives the bonuses to this and that based on the number of draconic feats you have. There are a few more feats that give bonuses based on the number of draconic feats you have as well. However, my problem is with the feats that give a special benefit for spell casting.

For example: most allow you to expend an "arcane spell slot" to perform a special ability or gain a specific benefit, however, there are some that simple read "anytime you cast a spell" or a similar line. My question is, can I use divine spell slots to use these special abilities because I am treating my character levels as sorcerer levels, even though I cast divine spells?

Or, am I limited to only taking feats that allow me to use spells only if they don't specify arcane in the text? Or is it a cut and dry rule that I can only use arcane spells for those abilities even if they don't specify in the text?

Please, a little guidance?

It is very misleading and mostly usless to you. They are almost all for arcane casters only, and the ones that do give bonuses to other casters, are not worth it.
