| seekanddestroy03-05-08, 02:13 PM | Does Greenbound for a 3rd level feat sound good? Also if I took a flaw what would be another good feat? I have Spell Focus (Conj), and Augment Summoning for first level. |
| TravisOfTheCosmose03-05-08, 04:07 PM | I wasn't familiar with Greenbound summoning until just now, and wow, that's ridiculously strong. Extend Spell is always classy. |
| seekanddestroy03-05-08, 04:55 PM | He will be from Chult. So he will be familiar with Dinosaurs. To have a Fleshraker as a companion. I thought being from that area Greenbound would work good. |
| wonlee7603-05-08, 05:08 PM | Its an excellent feat... too good to be quite frank so you better double check with your DM about this one. There's an old thread where the original author of Greenbound indicated it was meant to be a +2 slot adjustment Metamagic feat. the other consideration is its in a book called Lost Empires of Faerun... if the empire is lost, how the heck did your PC learn it? So really really check with your DM ahead of time because the initial knee jerk reaction is "broken". |
| seekanddestroy03-05-08, 05:44 PM | I guess it was passed down for generations. LOL. :D |
| kjenks03-05-08, 06:46 PM | Since you already have Spell Focus, consider Metamagic School Focus. |
| seekanddestroy03-05-08, 07:18 PM | But you have to have Spell Focus (Conj), for Augment Summoning? Right. |
| kjenks03-05-08, 11:14 PM | Yes. And, re-reading your post, you are looking for a level 3 feat, so do NOT choose Metamagic School Focus yet. Choose Rapid Spell at level 3. Choose Metamagic School Focus at level 6. With that combination, your three top level Summon Nature's Ally spells are a standard action casting time (due to Rapid Spell) with no increase in spell level (due to Metamagic School Focus) and augmented (due to Augment Summoning). But ya gotta prepare them, not cast them sponaneously. |
