| Vorsk09-06-07, 12:27 AM | I am starting off a new Human character as a Druid/Wizard build to play an Arcane Heirophant, which my final build will be Druid 7 / Wizard 3 / AH 10. I was imagining to be more of a wild shaping / blaster, and at the moment I am not sure if I made the right choice for my feat list. Natural Spell - A must have. Eschew Materials - I needed to take since it roleplays out the wildshape spellcasting aspect without materials in claws. Track - No one else in the party has the Track ability. Practiced Spellcaster (Wizard) - This in the end balances out my caster levels to a 17/17 for both types at lvl 20. Alternate Source Spell - High level of flexibility, and able to focus on a single stat for a higher spell DC (i.e. a Divine Fireball). Dragon Form - This feat is too cool for a 12th lvl Druid not to pass up. Quicken Metamagic Maximize Metamagic Is this listing a good pick of feats for a Wild shaping / blaster? If not any suggestions and why? Thanks for your time. |

Assume a 10d6 Fireball for example: Maximized: 10*6 = 60 Empowered: (10*3.5)*1.5 = 52.5 but while doing 7.5 damage less it costs one spell slot less than maximize, which means one Magic Missile more for you :D. That's an additional 5d4+5 (Average: 17.5) points of damage. |
