So, I am madly in love with this feat. Short (hopefully okay) version: standard action, full caster, you shoot someone. With your mind. But hey, where's the fun in that? If you're going to blow holes in your enemies, you should do so in style. This is a supernatural ranged attack, so I'm looking for a pile of feats to combo this bad boy with. Here's what I can think of so far:

Point Blank Shot
Precise Shot
Ranged Disarm
Shot on the Run

Far Shot won't work because there's no range increment, Rapid Shot doesn't work because the attack is too slow, and Manyshot won't work because there's no ammo involved. Ranged Sunder is out (it's not slashing or bludgeoning...or piercing for that matter), and Ranged Pin is a maybe. I just like Ranged Pin for the name synergy, you know, pin, needle, yuk yuk?

What other feats would people suggest?

It's not a feat, but Sneak Attack may work.

And, it is probably not a great idea to build your character around that particular feat, it only does like 1d4 damage or something?

It deals 1d4 damage per spell level of the highest force spell you have available to cast. It requires a spell of at least 3rd level, so Invisible Needle will always do at least 3d4 damage.

Ohako, if you really want to shoot people with your mind then you should crack open the Expanded Psionics Handbook and grab Psionic Shot, Greater Psionic Shot, and Fell Shot. They all function by expending psionic focus*, so you can only use one at a time and not very often, but they're potent. Psionic Shot adds +2d6 damage to a single ranged attack. Greater Psionic Shot increases that to +4d6. Fell Shot turns a ranged attack into a ranged touch attack.

*Psionic focus is a state of mind that only psionic characters can enter, and only if they keep at least one power point in reserve. There are some feats and effects which require you to be focused, and others that require you to lose (expend) focus. You can only expend focus for one thing at a time. Attaining (or regaining) focus requires a full round action and a DC 20 concentration check. Any character can become psionic by taking the Wild Talent feat or a single level in a psionic class, but some races are psionic naturally (Duergar, Githyanki, Thri Kreen, etc).

Sorry, InkBlot, but you are wrong. The prereq is the ability to cast a 3rd level spell, but you can still cast those force spells. If you use the feat after casting the 3rd level force spell, then you are down to using a 2d4 needle, as long as you have a 2nd level force spell able to be cast.

The first sentence of Invisible Needle is "As long as you have a force spell of 3rd level or higher available to cast, you can use a standard action to hurl a tiny needle-shaped projectile created from pure force."

The feat Psionic Meditation (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicFeats.htm#psionicMeditation) will allow you to become psionically focused as a move action, so he could pump the needle ability each round if he wants (for the cost of two feats ;)).
