Is there an easy way to figure out how an entangle spell works if you cant it on mass enemies?
My players are fighting an army and doing gorillia warfare. they keep casting entangle spells on like 20-30 of my troops and it is a PAIN to figure out who makes their saves and who fails. then the next round i have to roll saves all over again for those who made the initial save to see if they can move and those that fail have to roll str. checks. I cant keep it all straight, even then it is taking too much time for all the necessary rolls.

Divide the enemies into a few seperate groups, roll once for each group.

That's exactly what I do when I have that many NPCs.

20-30 you say? Divide them into 5 groups of 4, or 6 groups of 5. Do this for most area attacks as well (fireball, breath weapons, ...). It will speed up your record keeping VERY much.
