Eldritch Arcane Ray Master This feat will allow a Warlock to infuse his Eldritch Blasts with arcane ray spells. Mechanical: This is the same as an Eldtritch Essence. All SR and ST checks are still allowed by the target, and the spell infused uses the spell level and caster level of it's original class caster. This feat only works with ray/ranged touch attack spells. Whenever a warlock infuses a Eldritch Blast, he'll have to subtract all dies the spell has, from the dies his Eldritch Blast has. Example: A Warlock(3)/Sorcerer(1) tries to deliver a Ray of Frost along with his Eldritch Blast, his Eldritch Blast deals 2d6 damage, and the Ray of Frost deals 1d3 damage, resulting in the Eldritch Blast dealing 1d6 and the Ray of Frost dealing 1d3 damage. If a spell has a bonus every point of bonus have to be subtracted from the Eldritch Blast damage, to a minimum of 1 damage. Example: A Warlock(3)/Sorcerer(3) tries to deliver a Ray of Clumsiness along with his Eldritch Blast, his Eldritch Blast deals 2d6 damage, and the Ray of Clumsiness deals 1d6+1 Dex Damage resulting in the Eldritch Blast dealing 1d6-1 and the Ray of Clumsiness dealing 1d6+1 damage. If any shapes are applied to the blast, only the first target hit, gets the spell effect, and if used in an AoE effect, the spell hits a target specified by the caster. I have no idea if this is balanced at all, since it's not play tested or anything, but with some feedback, i think this could be a nice feat to have around. - MindWorX |

EB in itself IS magic already and this type of magic is also innate (used for invocations too). Therefore, logically I don't see how one type of magic can be mixed with another type. However, if you have to prepare spells in advance to work with EB than it's not powerful but quite balanced IMO (consider tha preparation process to be used to combine the 2 types of magical energies together). So, You have to prepare one of your 0th lvl spell slot to cast Ray of Frost with EB. This will be similar to the Arcane Preparation feat (CAr). You "apply the metamagic feat called Eldritch Blast" on a ray spell. Am I making sense? I'm getting dizzy myself.... |

Don't you mean 2d6 EB? |

Fixed the first post, so it says dies rather than HDs. I'm considering making this into a prestige class similar to the Eldritch Theurge from CAr, which has the feat Spellblast, that essentially gave me the idea for the feat in the first place. I see what you mean with the spontaneous casting thing, making it kinda munchi. How about making it take a full round action if you apply it like that, making the Warlock have to make a small sacrifice to do it? |
