| Raiden Drake04-21-07, 11:40 AM | I think there's not an official ruling about Epic level and ToB... advancing the ToB class beyond 20 should be easy, the problem is that there's no rules for something beyond typical maneuvers. What I'm trying to do is create a system for epic maneuvers, but I'm not really sure where to start. What should epic maneuvers be able to do? How many times at day can they be use? Unlimited like regular maneuvers? How many epic maneuvers can a character know? Should there be also epic stances? Any ideas? PD: I'm not sure this is the right forum. |

| Magocrat04-21-07, 12:12 PM | The problem with epic maneuvers is that there's little in the way of special attacks that maneuvers consist of that could be classified as epic. What I'm trying to say with that, is that apart from the 'metamaneuver' mechanic Nadaka proposed, there's nothing that has the potential to be an epic maneuver. Also remember that these epic maneuvers will have to stand up to epic spells. And I wish you good luck if you try to find anything that could stand up to, say, a hellball. Having said that, I would say that additional maneuvers per encounter and progression of other class features would suffice for martial adepts, for lack of anything better that I can think of. |
