Using this feat adds 1 round to the time you have to wait to use your breath weapon again. I'm kind of at a loss actually, aren't most breath weapons instantaneous? and if you extend the effect by a round does that mean enemies take the same damage again the second round, or is it half, or what? |
| CantripN02-22-07, 03:54 PM | I think he means that it reduces the "recharge time" from 1d4 rounds to 1d4-1. There's already a feat that does that... |
| Deviston02-26-07, 10:47 AM | naw naw naw... there are feats in the Races of Dragon that do something like this... "as a standard action, you release your breathe weapon in a square adjacent to you. the cloud lasts for 1d4 rounds and any enemy who passes through the square takes damage. reflaex for half" |

| strenoth05-15-07, 10:31 AM | So what youa re saying is, and you really need to re-write that feat description to fill itout, IF the breath weapon has a duration of 1 full round (effects this round, and the next before dissipating), or more, this would increase the duration it stays out by 1 round? cost shoudl be at least 2 rounds of delay. |
| Deviston05-15-07, 05:14 PM | The feats work in the broad generality, this way. You let loose a Exhalation (varient effects, wallish effect, entangling type effect and so on) and it lasts for 1d4 rounds. Those feats in and of themselves dont add a time limit other than what you would normally have to wait. No bonus rounds. You could feasably get 4 walls out for 1, 2, 3, and the last for 4 rounds. thats saying you rolled 4 on each d4. I want to know if the feat i create dis good for this. because they dont add time themselves, i thought starting at 1 round was good. if not, sure, say so. ive explained it (i made the mistake in assuming people who had the book would respond) and now, can it be peached? |
| CantripN05-15-07, 05:47 PM | Does this feat make them last for 1d4+1 rounds or does it make them last 1d6 rounds? Both are balanced. |
| Deviston05-17-07, 12:28 PM | oh, i was thinking 2d4 rounds... if 1d6 would work.... and adding 2d4, how many "+ rounds waiting" would that cost? |
