| Adonis1x2303-09-08, 03:35 PM | Is there a way to get extra feats after character creation? Like flaws, but for someone that is past level 1? |
| Rymosrac03-09-08, 03:36 PM | Yeah. Levels 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, etc. |
| Adonis1x2303-09-08, 03:57 PM | Those would be considered standard... |
| Rymosrac03-09-08, 04:11 PM | Oh, you meant nonstandard ways. Probably shoulda said so. If your DM allows flaws, he might allow them to be taken after character creation under appropriate RP circumstances. The Heroics spell grants a fighter bonus feat for a while, last time I checked, and there are a few classes that grant unrestricted free feats. But there's not a lot out there for getting permenant, free, unrestricted feats after character creation. |

If you want to redo your character because a feat you have is useless you can do the retraining thing in PH2 if your DM allows it, but if you just want feats then you will have to probably buy a magic items that grants that feat. |
| Adonis1x2303-09-08, 04:41 PM | I thought the term "extra" denoted that I was inquiring about non standard methods. Well, my problem is that I just created a Paladin3/Monk2(next level will be Paladin) and need to take Ascectic Knight. My feats thus far are 1st Intuitive Strike (Aasimar as the race) 3rd Serenity (DCv1) 4th Stunning Fist 5th Combat Reflexes At 6th level, I will need to take Ascectic Knight or have to live with subpar smiting and unarmed strike damage. I would much rather take Divine Vigor, and this would be the earliest level I could take it even if I took flaws at 1st level. Even if I could convince my DM to let me take a belated Flaw, there are non in UA that would make sense. Are there any other books that have Flaws, that arent third party? I know that an item can be imbued with a power simply enough, but how would one go about making an item that grants a particular feat? |

Players are allowed to create flaws, but they have to approved by the DM, or you could ask the DM to create one. |
