Salla 01-12-08, 04:14 PM	I can't recall precisely what Sharp-Shooting does, but encounters rarely occur at a distance where the increased range increment from Far Shot becomes an issue, assuming you're using a longbow (110'? That's ridiculous). So, if those are the only two options, Sharpshooting. :)
AtsuiShoto 01-12-08, 04:27 PM	Far shot is (in my experience) only useful for NPC snipers, throwing-weapon wielders, or those wishing to qualify for Deepwoods Sniper or Peerless Archer.
Novacat 01-12-08, 07:41 PM	As stated above, if you're using a bow, Far Shot is rather superfluous, as the distances required to make use of it are unusual in most campaigns. If you are using thrown weapons, few of which have a range increment exceeding 20ft, it becomes much more useful. Sharpshooting, however, has no use to you if you already have Improved Precise Shot. Sharpshooting reduces the bonus targets get from cover, while Improved Precise Shot negates the cover bonus to AC altogether. Useless to you. So, given those two choices, I would take Far Shot. However, if this is from your Fighter bonus feats, there are much better feat choices you could take.
Kouk 01-13-08, 12:42 AM	If you already have Improved Precise Shot, Sharp-Shooting won't do anything for you. Sharp-Shooting is the poor man's Improved Precise Shot, used by characters who can't qualify for it.
smeagol_lied 01-19-08, 04:50 PM	Ok, well this is for a build, and I know what levels I'm taking all the other feats, i'm a mounted archer using a composite longbow, I can get all the archery feats (except one, narrowed down to those two), trample and the weapon focus tree. That's from complete warrior and the PhB anyway, any other archery feats you would recommend?

Norr 01-19-08, 07:12 PM	You could take a look at Plunging Shot from Races of the Wild, though it would only be useful if you got yourself a flying mount (or a really tall one).
