What sources do you have available to use?
Do you have any idea what the campaign will be like?
What domains do you have?

All things being equal, Scribe Scroll is a great feat to have access to: At low levels you can use it to increase the number of healing spells you have available in a day, and at all levels it is nice to have a full "tool box" of spells that you might not normally prepare, but really need when the situation arises.

Also, a question LSMFT forgot: what do you want to do? We can't read your mind, you know. We aren't the psionics board.

A bit more about your character concept would be a big help. There are so many possible directions that you could go in that we can't really give any more than the most generic of advice.

What is this character's background? Deity? Domains? Attitude? What sort of thing are you intending to do with it? What sources are allowed?
What sort of game is your group doing? A tactical wargame or optimisation arms race where the characters are all cardboard cut-outs, or an in-depth, role-playing heavy, combat light game? Somewhere between the two?

Will this character be going all the way to level 20, or will the game finish after level 3?

Sorry for the insufficent data. GOD = hextor, Building a cleric based of the castle vainia heroc Belmont or from the same family. I have phb,dmg,mm1,mm2, spell compend, and a few other resources. but not much else. Basic dungeion crawl and some city aspects. End campaing should be around lvl 10ish or better. Possibility of continueing on to 20 and above. I took War and Spell domain. The scribe scrool sounds decient. I was thining quicken spell and maximixe spell for geting max on heal spells and what not. Biscly hes a decent of the belmonts and is adventuring to try and escape from his heritage, but still will be mainyl hunting undead and healer as professions. more if neede i can post later. thanks again

Sorry for the insufficent data. GOD = hextor,
I took War and Spell domain. I didn't think "spell" was an option for Hextor?

The scribe scrool sounds decient. As it stands, you cannot spontaneously convert prepared spells into Cure spells. So, you will have a little difficulty in that you must prepare your Cures, i.e. you don't have the versatility to prepare other things. So, at low levels, I'd definitely take Scribe Scroll for back-up healing until you can get a wand.

And, like I said before, it is still good later even when you can afford items like wands.

I was thining quicken spell and maximixe spell for geting max on heal spells and what not.Unless you have access to Divine Metamagic, you cannot use Quicken or Maximize yet. Save those for later.

Even later, Maximize isn't a good choice for Cure Spells.

but still will be mainyl hunting undead and healer as professions. more if neede i can post later. thanks againYou rebuke, not turn undead.

Do you realize that Hextor is evil? Do you understand what that means for his clerics regarding spells, healing, and undead?

He could actually be Lawful Neutral, worship Hextor and still have access to spontaneous cure spells, no?

But if the character was to be evil, you might ask your DM about allowing the 'Spontaneous Healing' feat from Complete Divine if any of your group have that book.

Better to check that your choice of god fits the dynamic of the rest of the group, however. Also, being a cleric of Hextor will give you no small amount of trouble in most civilized areas, just something to think about.

Neutral clerics of evil gods rebuke undead and spontaneously cast inflict spells. Same as evil clerics.

No. An evil cleric (or a neutral cleric of an evil deity), can’t convert prepared spells to cure spells but can convert them to inflict spells (an inflict spell is one with "inflict" in its name).Same goes for turning/rebuking.

Not to suggest in any way that evil clerics or the neutral clerics of evil deities are "bad" as far as playing them. It is just a bit harder for them to fit the role of healer/undead hunter.

The Dm is being extreamly leanant on allignment. Don't nessicary have to be evil to worship hextor. Only god I found so far whos fav weapon is a flail. Anyonw know of any net or good gods with fav weapon flail? Dm also said we could pick any domans we wanted didn't nessicarly have to fall under god. I took spell for the access to some wizard spells like mage armor at 1st lvl. I thought clerics start out with the spontanious cast? Ok so no quicken spell and maximize spells. still leave me grasping for appropiate feets besides scribe scroll. Keep the ideas comeing I aprecate it. Hopefuly I can take a look sometime at the complete divine online or something can never find one for sale. Thaks again.

Basically, you're not worshipping a deity, but an ideal. Your DM will probably let you pick the weapon.

I took spell for the access to some wizard spells like mage armor at 1st lvl.You would be better off not using spells like Mage Armor. +4 to AC is nice, but armor just ain't that expensive. (Though, you can cast Mage Armor on another, so it is a good buff if you've monks or other no-armor/non caster party members.)

I thought clerics start out with the spontanious cast? Ok so no quicken spell and maximize spells. They do start off with the ability to spontaneously convert spells to Cure or Inflict, but when they apply a metamagic feat to one, it still needs to be in the correct slot. A Quickened CLW needs a fifth-level slot, which you won't have for a long time. A Maximized CLW needs a fourth-level slot, and restores fewer hit-points than an average Cure Critical Wounds would.

still leave me grasping for appropiate feets besides scribe scroll. Keep the ideas comeing I aprecate it. Hopefuly I can take a look sometime at the complete divine online or something can never find one for sale. Thaks again.Well if your DM is as nice to everyone else as he is to clerics, you may be in a high-powered campaign, high-powered enough that you can't help but consider Divine Metamagic.

It is from Complete Divine. Basically, it lets you trade turn attempts for the level-adjustment for a metamagic feat.

So, you could take Quicken Spell, and Divine Metamagic (Quicken) and use turn attempts to quicken some first-level spells, even as a first-level character. To make the most of this feat, you want a high Cha and later to take the Extra Turning feat, or, if your DM is nice to the point of insanity, buy Nightsticks (from LM) for extra turning.
