In the PHB there is a little 1 letting you know it's a fighter bonus feat. I thought this meant only a fighter could select this feat? OR does it mean a fighter can choose the cleave feet without the power attack? A little confused now. |

The feats a paladin gets from character levels don't have to come from the "fighter bonus feats" list, but they may be on the list. That is, the feats labeled "fighter bonus feats" are not restricted to fighters unless they individually say so. Unless a character is getting a feat as a class feature that explicitly states that the prerequisites can be ignored (like the Ranger's Combat Style feats at second level), they must have the prerequisite to take the feat. The fighter or paladin taking the cleave feat must have the pre-requisite feat regardless of how he obtains cleave, unless it explicitly says otherwise. (I seem to recall an item that grants the cleave feat even if one hasn't the pre-requisites) |
