| OracleYori05-28-07, 02:06 PM | I may be mistaken but I can't help remembering there being a feat that let an undead use his CHA like CON and adding to HP. I think it might have been unholy resiliance or something like that. If something like that exists, could you direct me as to where it is? |
| unusualsuspect05-28-07, 03:22 PM | You are mistaken - the ability you're talking about is a special ability a very small subset of undead have. Unless I, myself, am extremely mistaken as well. :embarrass |

I recall in the Monstrous Manual III, there are undead with some special attribute called "Unholy Toughness" or something and they have a crapload more hitpoints than their CR would otherwise indicate. I don't have the book on hand right now to tell you what it is, but if you have MM III, check out any undead there. |
| EvilVegan05-28-07, 03:31 PM | Toughness. Improved Toughness. Other than that there are specific undead ("Drowned" comes to mind) that have abilities that increase their HP. |

| Deep Blue 900005-28-07, 04:53 PM | This ability does exist. However, it is a special ability, not a feat. I believe it was originally printed in Sandstorm and later in MM3 when Sandstorm's Salt Mummy was reprinted there. The only way for a PC to get it is to take levels in the "Walker in the Waste" prestige class from Sandstorm. It gradually transforms you into an undead which has Unholy Toughness. |

The ability is called "unholy toughness", an (ex) ability possessed by the dry lich. Which does not have to be evil, unlike normal liches, so it's not totally campaign-breaking, although I'm not sure how the rules interact when you try to play, say, a necropolitan and then go into Walker in the Waste. I'll have to go look that up in a minute and see if you have to be alive to become a Walker; otherwise that's just weird. Anyway, weirdly, there's nothing that facilitates this (natural and very logical for undead) ability in Libris Mortis, but a lot of those undead have Improved Toughness, which is something. There are special dragon templates for zombie, ghost, vampire & skeleton dragons in Draconomicon as well, which provide arbitrary boosts (+2, +0, +4, +1 iirc) per hit die to dragons (who have much more to lose than most races when they become undead). That might be easier to access, if you have Races of the Dragon on hand it's fairly easy to be draconic at low levels. |
| papawolf211-03-07, 06:40 PM | Have your undead be created by someone with the corpse crater feets. Then you can have extra hp, extra damage, extra armor, extra sr, and you could even do damage to anyone who kills your undead....... just be carefull not to end up a pupet! |
