Feat to mix bard and paladin levels? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-01-08, 04:31 AM I remember reading casually a feat that lets me stack paladin and bard levels for lay on hands and/or bardic music abilities, I believe. This is not the Knight Training feat from EBC, but other feat. Anyone remembers where it is from?:confused:

03-02-08, 07:05 AM Initiate of Milil from Champions of Valor lets bard, cleric, and paladin levels stack for the purpose of what bardic music you have access to, which can be pretty nice too. It's FR-specific, but it's a nice enough feat to adapt even when you're playing in another setting. The same book has the From Smite to Song feat, which lets you give up a smite evil attempt to get an inspire courage with bardic level equal to your paladin one and adds perform to your list of paladin class skills.

03-03-08, 12:41 AM Check out the Harmonious Partisan, Harmonious Guardian, and Harmonious Paragon (http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=14269675#post14269675), a trio of excellent homebrewed Bard/Paladin PrCs. I really like the attention to detail paid by the creator of these.

03-03-08, 07:33 PM Why go Palidin when you can go honorable dread pirate(C. Adv.).

-Full BAB
- Rally the crew stacks with inspire courage plus later on it increases AC and gives some hitpoints
-Dread pirates are more mobile than palidins
-Still has an honorcode if you're into that stuff
-You can say Yar!!! more times before your friends make you "walk the plank" so to speak

-True Hit Dice is lower (d8) and you dont gain higher armor profs but if you know what you're doing and use lots of mithril its not so bad
-if you want pally divine grace i suggest going 5 pal/5 bard before doing pirate

But I digress...

I'm not sure, really, but it depends on how your DM reads it. It says "Your bard, paladin, and cleric stack to determine what kinds of bardic music you can use (but not any other effect relating to bardic music)"
