Zen Mastery (General)

You have learnt how to master your skills in ways others thought not possible

Prereq: Wis 13+

Description: A number of times per day equal to your Wis modifier you can replace the normal ability modifier with your Wis modifier when making a skill check. This feat can only be applied to class skills that you have at least one rank in.

Normal: You must apply the ability modifier that is associated with the skill you use.

A variant, based upon the PEACH I've gotten:

Zen Mastery (General)

You have learnt how to master your skills in ways others thought not possible

Prereq: Wis 13+

Description: A number of times per day equal to your Wis modifier +2 you can add your Wis modifier as a competence bonus when making a skill check. This feat can only be applied to class skills that you have at least one rank in.

Normal: You must apply the ability modifier that is associated with the skill you use.

So, here is my first feat. I've tried to design it to be as limited as possible, but still useful. If you see anything that could be improved please say so. This feat is not intended to be used in a specific campaign or so, I just found the Zen Archery feat and thought that I would make a spinoff. Also, I don't know if the name have been used before, but in that case, I'll just change it.

seems usefull but i would make it a bit better to make it worth the burn of a feat, something like 1 1/2 your Wis modifier round down obviously. So a +5 modifier gives 7 times per day. and when you are right on the limit to get the feat you instead have 3 times per day.

I like this idea. How about this instead:

For a number of times per day equal to your Wisdom modifier, you can add your Wisdom modifier as a competency bonus to any skill check with a skill that you have at least one rank in.

That way you're using both ability mods rather than just 1. That would be a bit better than it already is, IMO, and would certainly be worth taking as a feat.

I see, how about this: A number of times per day equal to your Wis modifier +2
This gives you more times to use the feat, but it doesn't result in a huge number of usages when the Wis-score starts to hit the roof

Hmm, I don't know, it might get quite poweful, but I'll give it a try.

I've modified the feat, and kept the original, keep peaching ;)
