I'm playing a lvl 20 scout, and was wondering what would be some good choices for bonus feats. This is a purely combat based character, so I won't need stuff that helps when I'm scouting(like brachiation). Also, does Improved Skirmish increase maximum skirmish to +7D6/ +7 AC, and is it considered a Scour bonus feat?

Thanks in advance :D

to your questions, yes and yes. But you can also buff your skirmish damage with the rogue's vest and skirmisher's boots from the magic item compendium.

"spring attack" or "shot on the run" and their prereqs are really good. Spring attack take bounding assault from the PH2 you'll pull off multiple skirmishes in melee. If the short bow's your bag then make sure you get many-shot to pull off multiple skirimishes. Anything else would depend largely on campaign, enemy types, encounter types, and perhaps your race options.

That's why God, I mean WotC, invented Greater Manyshot. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicFeats.htm#greaterManyshot)

Making a lvl 20 scout... I'd suggest taking the Winged Template from MM2. Then you don't have to wast feats on dodge and mobility, just take fly-by attack, which is better than spring attack and shot on the run.
As for other feats, if you're going melee you should consider taking a lvl Barbarian and the class variant from complete champion which gives you pounce instead of fast movement. Ranged: precise shot, many shot, greater many shot

If you take one level of ranger and then take Swift Hunter (Complete Scoundel) as a bonus feat, you get the benefits of having favored enemies as a 19th level ranger (Scout 19/Ranger 1)
