| X0_Lt_0X03-20-08, 08:36 PM | On the Fey Heritage Feats Fey Presence and Fey Legacy, the Base DC Modifier Stat is missing for the spell-like abilities This wouldnt be a problem if they were all non Save spells such as Summon Natures Ally and Dimension Door, but some of the spells require a opponent to make a save, such as Confusion and Deep Slumber, hence the need for a DC. I might be missing something, or confused, but I cant figure this out. Any help will be appreciated =3 |
| Howland Reed03-20-08, 08:38 PM | If the book doesn't say, my guess would be 10 + spell level (equivalent) + Cha modifier. But without something from a book, that's just how I'd houserule it. I'll check my books when I get home. |

I'll check my books when I get home. Thats how I think it should be (being a Fey and all), and 10+SL seems far to weak for a DC... |
| Tobias_Bluesummers03-20-08, 08:53 PM | Well it says that they are spell-like abilities. So I would guess it would be just like figuring out the DC for casting the spell (10 + Spell Level + INT/CHA modifier). |

But when you gain a spell thru a spellcasting class, the class says what its Spells Base Stat for spell DCs is. Even in templates such as the Half-Fey (which my character is using BTW) that give Spell-like abilities say what the Base Stat for there SLA are. IT PISSES ME OFF!!! :headexplo :hoppingma :hoppingma :hoppingma :hoppingma :hoppingma :hoppingma |
| navar10003-20-08, 10:49 PM | They are spell-like abilities. Spell-like abilities' DC are 10+equivalent spell level+appropriate modifier. For a warlock's case, it'd be 10+spell level+Charisma modifier. |

| Wih03-26-08, 01:00 AM | For creatures with spell-like abilities, a designated caster level defines how difficult it is to dispel their spell-like effects and to define any level-dependent variables (such as range and duration) the abilities might have. The creature’s caster level never affects which spell-like abilities the creature has; sometimes the given caster level is lower than the level a spellcasting character would need to cast the spell of the same name. If no caster level is specified, the caster level is equal to the creature’s Hit Dice. The saving throw (if any) against a spell-like ability is: 10 + the level of the spell the ability resembles or duplicates + the creature’s Cha modifier. Emphasis mine, hope it's helpful. |
| LSMFT03-27-08, 12:38 PM | Yeah, unless something specifically says otherwise, all spell-like abilities use Cha. |
