I've been interested in flaws (Unearthed Arcana) lately, and I noticed that some Dragon magazine issues have some flaws for specific classes. I've been also interested in martial adepts and maneuvers for a while, but it seems that this new system isn't getting enough love.

Flaws grant characters bonus feats, which is always a good thing. So how about we cook up a bunch of flaws specifically for crusaders, swordsages and warblades ?

Narrow Training [Flaw]
You choose to focus on fewer disciplines while training.
Prerequisites: Crusader, Swordsage or Warblade 1st level
Effect: You can learn maneuvers from one less discipline, to a maximum of only a single discipline to learn maneuvers from.
Special: You can take this flaw multiples times, each time selecting a discipline to forgo.

Slow and Steady [Flaw]
You prefer to act later and see what your opponents can do first.
Prerequisites: Swordsage 1st level
Effect: You do not gain the Quick to Act class feature, and you take a -2 penalty to Initiative checks.

Show Off [Flaw]
You try to impress others even in the most perious situation.
Prerequisites: Warblade 1st level
Effect: When recovering your maneuvers as a swift action, you cannot make any other actions, except for a flourish with your weapon. Furthermore, you take a -4 penalty to AC in that round as well as you lose your Dexterity bonus to AC, resulting as a flat-footed condition.

Narrow training: Depending on the class this flaw is either not a problem or probable. As a swordsage I wouldn't mind giving up access to the desert wind school in exchange for another feat. But for warblades & crusaders it hurts a lot more because they have only a few schools they get access to.

Slow and steady: Compared to unreactive which gives a flat -6 to initiative its rather mild. Though the total penalty to initiative winds up to a grand -8 in the end the penalty is at lower levels effectively -3. I'd make my PC's just take unreactive.

Show off: You may want to work on the way you're wording this feat because you're mingling a few terms together. Flat-footed is something diffrent from Denied dex to AC. And you'll have to remember that warblades get uncanny dodge at 2nd level allowing them again to keep their dex mod to AC when caught flat-footed. Other then that, it sounds painful, maybe a little too painful for a flaw.
