So, the alternative barbarian features for rage, such as what is presented in UA, and I think Cityscape, whirling frenzy and frenzy respectively... Do these abilities transfer over for the feats that are based on rage like chaotic rage, extra rage, extend rage, and so forth? Do they become chaotic frenzy, extend frenzy, etc. I'd assume they should, but I'm not sure.

One could technically say that since most of those feats have 'Rage' as a prerequisite, then unless it says rage it wouldn't count.

However, I ask myself do alternative rages features work with rage feats? I'd say yes, but I'd examine it on a case by case basis.

For example, whirling frenzy and rage both have limited uses and a limited number of rounds that they work. Extend rage and extra rage would work well if allowed to apply to both.

However there is the rage variant in the PHBII Beserker Strength that allows you to rage whenever you fall below a certain hit point amount... and the two feats mentioned above wouldn't make sense.

RAW: Nothing that enhance a special ability can do the same for the varient special ability that comes in its place. But that's just RAW.
