| Fillow05-12-07, 04:02 AM | Hi, In underground passages, just behind a door, my gnome arrived in front of a ravine. And I'm sure that this ravine is in fact an illusion. How could my rock gnome do to know if this is really an illusion ? Thanks a lot. |

If your gnome has dispell magic, try dispelling the illusion. If it works, you were right. If it didn't work, you might be wrong or the caster level of the illusion might be too high for you. |

I was said, long years ago, that if you had a doubt about an illusion, the latter would work is you tested it with something like a rock as you said. To check in an efficient way an illusion, you must be sure in your mind that it is an illusion. So the best way to proove that you are sure it is an illusion is to jump yourself through it ! Ok, when it is a ravine... you have to be more than sure that it is an illusion. I wont try this time ! InkBlot, What is "standard issue 10-foot pole ? " My gnome ranger is level 2. Thanks to all of you. |

| Wolf7205-12-07, 09:29 PM | ... InkBlot, What is "standard issue 10-foot pole ? " My gnome ranger is level 2. Thanks to all of you. the 10-ft pole is standard issue adventuring equipment from pre-1e days. Other than a towel, probably the must useful piece of equipment in the game! ;) seriously though, a 10-ft pole is just that ... cast light/continual light on it ... set off traps ... test for traps ... use it to trip someone/thing ... extent your reach in trying to touch something ... etc |
