Just a quick question about Hand Crossbow Focus from Drow of the Underdark (pg. 50)

The feat gives you the ability to reload a hand crossbow as a free action

now in the players hand book the Rapid Reload feat allows you to reload a hand crossbow as a free action thus gaining the ability to fire at your full attack rate.

My question is this: Would Hand Crossbow Focus grant you the same ability to fire at full attack rate like Rapid Reload does even though it doesn't specificly state it?

Of course it does.

Of course it does.

And with less rudeness: yes, it does.

Yes it does.

However, please note that none of the feats allow you to reload it with one hand. So no two-fisted sillyness without magic.

But you can have triple-crossbow-wielding mariliths. Or could they use more? Do they need one free hand per crossbow, or just one free hand to reload each crossbow as it fires?

I would say one for each, for purposes of balance if nothing else. A bow requires two hands, so a crossbow should too.

Okay I thought it did, I just wanted to make sure. So it is basicly Weapon Focus (Hand Crossbow) and Rapid Reload (Hand Crossbow) Wrapped into a nice, neat little package. :D
