Hey, if I had both the rapid reload feat and the quick draw feat, could I reload a pair of hand crossbows I was dual wielding in one turn?

It takes two hands to reload a hand crossbow. The relevant rules text says "shoot, but not load, a hand crossbow with one hand..."

If you had rapid reload, you could fire both hand crossbows then drop one and reload the other to get your iterative attacks.

Quick draw would let you draw multiple pre-loaded hand crossbows during your turn for iterative attacks with both hands (assuming you had the appropriate Two-Weapon Fighting feats).

It would take a magical enchantment of at least +1 cost to do what you want.

the only way i see this happening is if each has the quick loading magic ability aded to each one

sorry if it goes against what you want

Why is that? Also, how would a +1 magical bonus help?

Seems like by some miraculous stretching of the rules you could say that you quickly put away one crossbow (free action) load the other (free action) whip out the first and put away the second (free actions both) and load the second (you get the idea).

Is it not a free action to put them away? Do you need the quick sheathe feat? :P

Sheathing a weapon isn't a free action. Drawing one (with quick draw) is.

Ah, thanks. After the crossbow is empty could you continue your multiple attacks per round by throwing the crossbows as improvised weapons?
