Ok I am playing a campaign on saturday and am playing a swashbuckler that is going for two weapon fighting and a lot of dissarming. Right now I have three feat's thank the heavens for human bonus feat Quickblade rapier proficancy. Improved dissarm and its prerequisit feat. I was going to go with snatch weapon but then found there was a feat that let you make a disarm atempt with your off hand weapon as well. I wan't to know if there are any special weapons I might look for as well as feats to take. :duel:

See if your DM allows Character Flaws (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterFlaws.htm). Each flaw earns you a bonus feat. The penalty from each flaw is generally worse than the benefit from a feat, but you can pick flaws that won't impair your main character strengths. (Just be prepared for the DM to attack your weaknesses at some time.) You can also look into Character Traits (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterTraits.htm), which are self-contained penalty+benefit combos.

Can you wield that Rapier with both hands, or was it another one?

If you can use both hands, you will be better at Disarming.

EDIT: And I don't think you need a feat to attempt a Disarm using your off-hand, it is just built into the game. The problem is that off-hands tend to be light weapons, which take a -4 to attack rolls when Disarming, and if you are TWF then you also have those penalties to your opposed attack roll, making it quite unlikely you can Disarm with your off-hand.

You can use with both hands but you need to have a light weapon or nothing in your off hand to use weapon finesse.

A recent Dragon had the Basket Hilted masterwork quality which gives you a +4 to resist being disarmed (great if someone counters you). The parrying weapon quality would work well for a swashbuckler too, gives an AC and reflex bonus.

I am wielding a quickblade rapier in my main hand it is a weapon from the complete adventurer it gives you a plus 4 on dissarm attempts. there is a feat for your off hand parry that negates the penalty and allows another perry. I was orriganaly going to go with snatch weapon but our DM likes to arm his people with things like big two handed swords. not useful for a quick character. any way I will talk to him about the basket hilt. If I can find a person to make a basket hilted quickblade rapier I will do. What I am trying to find out is if there are any more feats for increasing the chances or times for a dissarm with both the rapier and the offhand weapon which will either be a dagger or small sword and if there are any weapons like a main gauche.

The best feats otherwise would be Jotunbrud (Races of Faerun I believe) which lets you count as one size larger than you are for things like Disarm, and Weapon Focus-type feats that just increase your attack roll.

EDIT: Depending on how serious you want to get here, anything that penalizes the opponent's attack roll would also help you Disarm him. If you Trip him and he is knocked Prone, he will take a -4 penalty on attack rolls, making it easier to Disarm him. But of course, Tripping has its own issues to consider in character building.
