Hey guys,

I had a look at the heroic surge feat, and chose it for my Solamnic Knight. Unfortunately, my DM sees the feat slightly differently to what I do.

The feat is a little short in its description, and unclear.

While it allows you to 'take an extra move or attack action, either before or after your regular actions', does it allow you to break some game rules?

For example, while the DM has no problem allowing heroic surge to add an extra movement action to the beginning of your round for example, his interpretation is that since you move more than 5' you cannot make a full round of attacks, and can therefore only make one attack.

Is this how you guys interpret this rule, or is there some clarrification elsewhere?

The feat is found in Dragonlance, Age of Mortals book - for ease of reference.

Sorry if this has been raised before, but the clarification I have been able to find, does not address this topic directly.

Thanks for your input.

It is extra. As in, above and beyond the norm.

As in, you get it in addition to your normal actions with no repurcussions.

You could use the extra move, make a full attack, and then make a 5' step if you wanted.
